When we were asked to design the refurbishment of the public toilets at The Old Forge Bistro in Lelant, we were very excited. Becky wanted the toilets to be part of the experience for visitors and something they would remember.
We kept the theme the same for both spaces with Ca Pietra’s famously striking Lilypad tiles taking centre stage. We laid the tiles so they finished at irregular heights which works very effectively with hexagon tiles adding to the geometric overall feel of the space.
We used Infrared taps which offer a practical and efficient solution that combines convenience, hygiene and sustainability. Infrared taps are particularly beneficial in busy environments such as public restrooms, where countless hands come into contact with the same fixtures. By eliminating the need for physical contact, these taps effectively reduce the transmission of germs and bacteria, promoting a healthier and safer environment for all.
