Our clients spend a large majority of the year working all over the world so it was imperative for them that we could manage the whole project in their absence. Our brief was to update one main bathroom, two ensuites and a downstairs toilet. The existing bathrooms had 4 different coloured suites; primrose, pampas, pink and turquoise.
We used large format neutral tiles on most of the walls including the areas that require more cleaning. The master ensuite and main bathroom are both good sized spaces, so we added a bit of interest with the coloured and patterned tiles. Simple, easy to clean vinyl flooring finished the rooms off nicely.
In the main bathroom we removed the bath and created a large walk in shower area. Space wasn’t a premium, so we boxed off the back wall to conceal the pipework and cistern for the toilet. This meant we gained a shelf above the toilet and could put a couple of recessed shelves in the shower - very handy for bottles! We used the Medina Hexagon Salvia tiles from Ca’Pietra, to make these areas really pop. Vanity Hall supplied the basin unit and matching wall hung storage unit for behind the door, in a bespoke size.
The master ensuite lent itself to having two opposing feature panels of patterned tiles, one lit by the mirror and the other in an alcove behind the toilet. The turquoise vanity unit is a nod to the turquoise suite that once stood in this room but it also happens to tie in with the patterned tiles beautifully.
