Nestled within a charming three-storey St Ives cottage, this compact shower room proves that small spaces can still make a statement. As an Airbnb property, light and atmosphere were key considerations and the only natural light source came from an internal window above the basin, which we wanted to keep, so every design choice was made to enhance and reflect it.
We chose a large, round back-lit mirror to bounce light throughout the room, turning a practical feature into a beautiful focal point. The soft baby blue Medina tiles by Ca’ Pietra bring a serene coastal feel while reflecting light perfectly, giving the space an airy, open quality.
Paired with patterned floor tiles, chrome fittings, and warm wood details, this shower room strikes the perfect balance between modern coastal style and characterful Cornish charm, proof that thoughtful design can completely transform even the smallest of spaces.
