A Serene Sanctuary in a 500-Year-Old Farmhouse.

Nestled within the heart of a 500-year-old farmhouse, this bathroom has been thoughtfully designed to blend heritage charm with modern luxury. The client, who enjoys a view of this space from her kitchen table, wanted a bathroom that was not only functional but a joy to look at—and now she’s greeted daily by the striking vanity and terrazzo basin that have become the room’s centrepiece.

We approached the design with sensitivity to the home’s rich history, selecting materials and tones that complement its age-old character. Soft, neutral tiles create a timeless backdrop, while the ornate and aged textures on the large format floor and shower tiles add a gentle nod to the past.

The deep, inviting bath is perfect for long soaks, ideally enjoyed while admiring the natural light streaming through the sash window. The large space meant we could also add in a spacious walk in shower. Every detail has been considered to ensure this bathroom feels like a true extension of the home—peaceful, personal, and beautifully in tune with its surroundings.

Beautifully installed by SJK Renovations.
