Opulent details and Masculine Energy - A townhouse transformation.

This striking main bathroom and cloakroom were part of a larger renovation of a beautiful period townhouse. The client wanted the spaces to feel undeniably masculine yet still indulgent, with an emphasis on traditional style and statement finishes.

To bring that brief to life, we layered rich marble across the walls and floors, pairing it with classic chrome brassware, and a high-level cistern. The overall effect is timeless, bold, and luxurious.

The bathroom’s only light source came from a charming stained glass window, which is internal but cleverly positioned near an external one to draw in what natural light was available. This feature became a key design consideration—reflective finishes and a warm palette help bounce light around the space while keeping it cosy.

The cloakroom, which had no window at all, required a thoughtful balance of materials and lighting to achieve the same sense of richness without relying on natural light. The result is a dramatic yet functional space that complements the main bathroom beautifully.

Beautifully executed by SJK Renovations.
